Let's face it. There are tons of books out there for this time of year. This is one of my favorite. Sadie and the Snowman. I first learned of this book when I was teaching in New York City back in 1998. I went to a training and they used this to demonstrate the science concept of heat and melting. How Santa Lost His Job. This book is the sequel to the previous. One of the elves thinks Santa moves too slow and invents a machine to do his Job. In the end, the elves realize nothing can replace Santa Claus. A cute book that your students will love.
